Knitting Appeal

Welcome to Knit, Stitch & Natter

2022 has been an incredible year for us.  We are slowly getting back to some kind of normality after the past couple of years and we want to say a big thank you to all who knitted and nattered with us, and for all your donations and creations.

They have helped us fill our stalls throughout the year and across the seasons, with your spring, summer, autumn and winter themed knitting. Our Knit, Stitch & Natter group have so far raised over £2,000 an amazing total.

Knit, Stitch & Natter now have their own Facebook group please feel free to join and say hello.

Easter

We will be holding a Easter Coffee Morning in the Education Centre at the Hospice on Tuesday 4th April.   Please feel free to join in and knit some Easter bunnies and chicks.  Patterns can be downloaded from our list below or if you have your own idea please feel free to create. We do have enough  knitted baskets this year but anything else you would like to make would always be very gratefully received.

Christmas

We were once again overwhelmed by donations of knitted items in the build-up to Christmas! Stockings, candy canes, robins, tea cosies, Christmas puddings, snowflakes and elves, all proved very popular when on sale at the many events over the festive period. As always both Christmas trees at the Tunstall and St Justus tree festivals were decorated with wonderful white and purple handknitted decorations. Please do keep them coming as they do occasionally need to be replaced.

Thank you to all our knitters for making this possible.

A special thanks to Pat Wade and Sue Turner who work tirelessly to make this all happen. Our knitting group has evolved so much and it’s all thanks to them.
